At Census, we are privileged to examine the depth and the breadth of our nation life. In addition to the census of every household in the nation that occurs every 10 years, the Bureau conducts comprehensive censuses of manufacturers, retail trade, wholesale trade, service industries, finance, insurance, real estate, transportation, communication, utilities, mining, and governments every 5 years. And each year, approximately 300 surveys are conducted for federal, state, and commercial clients.
